    Pros:
    • speedy delivery
    • smells like real fish
    • dog loves it
    Cons:
I had been searching for a dog food that's primarily fish but finding more chicken and beef than anything else. I came across Tender & True in my grocery store & decided to give the Whitefish a try. My dog really loves it, eats better than ever. I haven't been able to find in my grocery store since I bought the first bag, so ordered online and was extremely satisfied with the prompt delivery (within 3 days from ordering)! Now my dog is happy again, thanks Tender & True!

The dogs rate it great, our vet not so much...

    Pros:
    Cons:
    • pricey
    • hard to find
    • ingredients connected to heart diseas
Just after buying this food, we had our annual vet visit. And our vet mentioned that some grain free foods have been associated with heart disease in certain dog breeds: https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/outbreaks-and-advisories/fda-investigation-potential-link-between-certain-diets-and-canine-dilated-cardiomyopathy
Fortunately, Tender and True is not on the list of foods associated with heart disease. But peas are, which is one of the ingredients to stay away from, and they are in this food. Peas and legumes seem to be the problem.
Unfortunately, both of our retrievers are on the list of breeds associated with heart disease from eating grain free foods. They are fine right now.
So, it's hard to recommend grain free food even though our dogs love this kibble. I guess if people choose the one without peas and legumes they should be ok, but they need to check the website above for more info.
It's a bummer, because our dogs love this food and it took us a long time to find kibble that they both like.
